Terms of Service
By booking or using Sharply’s sharpening services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
1. Service Scope
Sharply provides sharpening services for common household, kitchen, garden, and workshop tools. Sharply reserves the right to refuse service for any item that is unsafe, excessively damaged, prohibited, or outside the scope of normal residential sharpening.
2. Pre-existing damage
Many tools presented for sharpening may already have wear, cracks, chips, fatigue, or manufacturing defects. Sharpening removes a small amount of metal and may expose or worsen these existing issues. While every reasonable care is taken, Sharply cannot guarantee the structural integrity of items that are already damaged or weakened.
3. Risk Acknowledgement
By submitting tools for sharpening, you acknowledge that sharpening carries a small risk of damage or failure due to hidden defects, brittle steel, or previous misuse. Sharply is not responsible for breakage or failure caused by pre-existing conditions.
4. Sharper-Than-New Guarantee
Sharply aims to deliver a significantly improved cutting edge on every tool. If you are not satisfied with the sharpness of an item during the visit, Sharply will re-sharpen that item once at no additional cost. This guarantee applies to sharpness only and does not apply to tools with structural damage or excessive wear.
5. Safety After Sharpening
Sharpened tools will be significantly sharper than before service. Customers are responsible for safe handling, storage, and use of their tools after sharpening.
6. Minimum Service Policy
Mobile sharpening services are subject to a minimum booking value. Minimums may vary depending on location and will be communicated at the time of booking.
7. Service Refusal
Sharply reserves the right to decline service for items that are unsafe, excessively damaged, inappropriate for the equipment used, or otherwise outside the scope of service.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment or presenting tools for sharpening, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
Sharply aims to provide honest, high-quality sharpening services and appreciates your understanding of these conditions.
Cancellation Policy
Sharply operates as a mobile service and schedules travel time for each booking. To keep the service fair and efficient for all customers, the following cancellation policy applies.
1. Appointment Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. Cancellations made with reasonable notice will not incur any charge.
2. Late cancellations or no-shows
If an appointment is cancelled with little or no notice, or if the technician arrives and the service cannot proceed, Sharply reserves the right to retain any payments made or charge up to the minimum service fee.
3. Travel Time
Because Sharply travels to each booking location, late cancellations may result in lost travel time and unavailable booking slots. This policy helps ensure that scheduled time is respected.
4. Rescheduling
Whenever possible, Sharply will try to accommodate rescheduling requests if notice is provided in advance.
Sharply aims to be fair and flexible, and appreciates customers communicating any changes to their booking as early as possible.
